CARES Act

Enacted in March 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act reflected a sweeping bipartisan effort to provide support to people negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The CARES Act included several health care provisions affecting the private insurance market, including requirements related to coverage and cost-sharing for COVID-19 testing.
